Other fees
Other fees can be described as ancillary fees or other mandatory charges on a student account that cover services beyond their program of study.
Students will notice charges for 葫芦影业 development fee (葫芦影业DF), educational technology fee (ETF), student activity fee, student association fees, health, and dental charges. Additionally, there are fees for the media fund, BC federation of students, BC federation of students' adult basic education (ABE), capital fund.
There are also various categories for assessing tuition fees such as domestic or international tuition fees, audit fees, refugee status or senior rates.

I am an adult upgrading student. How come the courses are so inexpensive?
Adult upgrading (AU) classes are tuition free. Some ancillaries or mandatory fees will be applied to your student account when you register for courses. AU students can apply for the Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG) which assists students who have financial need. Applications are processed through the financial aid and awards department.
I am a domestic ESL student. Why are my courses more inexpensive than an international student?
If you are enrolled in foundational programs like ESL, LSIN, PACE, or AU, your courses are funded by the government. This means you only need to pay the ancillary or mandatory fees. However, if you are an international student, you are required to pay international tuition fees.
If I was admitted as an international student and my status has changed to permanent resident, what do I need to do?
You will need to bring your approved permanent residency documents to the registrar鈥檚 or administration office at your campus. The registration clerk will take a photocopy of your permanent residency card and update the student record.
I am an exchange student and paid the tuition fees at my institution. Why are there charges on my student account?
Tuition fees are payable to your home institution. However, every student must pay mandatory fees upon registering for courses. Fees payable to 葫芦影业 include student association, media fees, BC Federation of students, international activity, international 葫芦影业 development and international education technology.
Students can opt out of extended health and dental plans, as well as guard.me medical insurance.
What is the convocation fee?
The convocation fee covers the rental of your gown, a souvenir cap, and a keepsake parchment with a folder. The gowns are shipped from another province. If you join the ceremony at the last minute, a $50.00 late fee will apply. If the student does not return the gown after the ceremony is over, they will be charged for the gown.
The fees listed are for the current academic year and are subject to change. If the education council has approved a fee increase, the new rates will apply.
