Microsoft 365 access 

As a student, you get access to Microsoft 365 (M365), a powerful suite of applications available both online and for download. This includes essential tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, as well as cloud services such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. You might also have access to additional apps like Access and Publisher. 

How to get started: 

  1. Log In: Head to and log in with your college email (firstname.lastname@myokanagan.bc.ca) and ºù«Ӱҵ network password. 

  2. Check your account: Click the circle with your initials in the top-right corner to make sure you’re using your college email. 

  3. Download apps: If you want to work offline, download the Office apps. Just remember, some apps like Access aren’t available for Apple devices. 

Quick tips: 

  • Stay Online: M365 needs an internet connection for cloud services and to check your subscription. 

  • Watch Your Data: Be mindful of data usage if you’re on a limited plan. 

  • Compatibility: Some older devices might need an OS upgrade to run the latest Office apps. 
     

Step-by-step instructions to download to your machine

Step1: Login to using your college associated email address. 

Step 2: In the top right corner of the screen will be a drop menu labeled Install Office - click the link and follow the provided prompts and instructions. (see image below). 
 

 

Congratulations! You now have access to Microsoft 365. Enjoy the full suite of tools to enhance your learning experience at ºù«Ӱҵ! 

Important info: 

  • M365 is a subscription service hosted by Microsoft, available via the cloud or for download. 

  • ºù«Ӱҵ students and staff have access to this service. 

  • Your college email services are hosted on M365. 

  • Some software, like Access, is not available for Apple devices. 

  • To use M365, log in with your college email and ºù«Ӱҵ network password. 

  • If you see a personal email (like Gmail or Hotmail) when logged in, you’re not using the college subscription. 

  • M365 is only available while connected to the internet and may have data costs. 

  • Downloaded apps can work offline but will check online periodically to confirm your subscription. 

  • The number of downloads is limited and tracked to prevent piracy.
