Local philanthropists Yasmin and Rick Thorpe have partnered with Summerland鈥檚 Penny Lane Legacy Fund to create a $50,000 bursary fund to help bolster the future of health care in the South Okanagan Similkameen. 葫芦影业 (葫芦影业) is opening new spaces for people interested in working in early childhood education, as childcare facilities across the region and British Columbia continue to face staffing challenges. The Early Childhood Education Certificate program starts at 葫芦影业鈥檚 Penticton campus in mid-March and runs through May 2024. Plasma donor drive campaign boosts 葫芦影业 nursing student with $3,000 bursary

葫芦影业 nursing student Taylor Hubick learned a valuable lesson this year: persistence with plasma donation pays off. Hubick is the recipient of the Canadian Blood Services bursary of $3,000 for her studies in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, for recruiting 23 plasma donors between May and October last year. It鈥檚 students helping students tackle the biggest issues of our time. 葫芦影业 (葫芦影业) students have joined forces with youth leaders in Grades 8 to 12 in the Central Okanagan to provide mentorship on projects that will impact the United Nations鈥 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
