ºù«Ӱҵ Arts and Foundational Programs hosts community showcase
From the written word to graphic design artistry and more, ºù«Ӱҵ’s Arts and Foundational Programs (AFP) is opening its doors for a unique community showcase next week.
The AFP Community Showcase event is happening on May 2, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. in the Centre for Learning Atrium (E building) at the Kelowna Campus. The event is free and all are welcome.
The AFP Community Showcase aims to celebrate exceptional work from students, instructors, and faculty in Adult Upgrading, Adult Special Education, Arts, and English Language at ºù«Ӱҵ. The showcase will feature presentations of creative and academic work, community projects, and applied research. Light refreshments will also be served, adding to the enjoyment of the evening.
Dr. Judith Anderson, Dean of Arts and Foundational Programs for ºù«Ӱҵ, expressed her excitement for the showcase, saying, "We are so excited to celebrate the inspiring work of students, instructors and faculty through this community showcase. This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in and learn about some of the incredibly diverse projects, publications, accolades and other endeavors by our AFP learning community."
The Community Showcase is not only an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional talent at ºù«Ӱҵ but also a chance to network and make meaningful connections within the community.
All ºù«Ӱҵ students and staff members in Kelowna are encouraged to mark their calendars and attend the AFP Community Showcase on May 2.
